The World Series of Golf (WSOG), which is a televised golf tournament held in the United States that combines the sport with gambling is set to go online, by offering online players the chance to play in tournaments on some of the world’s best golf courses.
An online gaming platform is currently being developed that combines the gambling of Texas Hold’em with the skill of golf. The game will provide pictures of famous golf courses and allow punters to gamble Texas Hold’em style on the games.
WSOG CEO Terry Leiweke said, “Capitalising on the popularity of the World Series of Poker and internet-based gaming, the World Series of Golf is launching an international platform. Soon, playing tournament style golf on some of the world’s finest golf courses will be just a few keystrokes away.”
The WSOG will also be expanding with more high-stakes international golf tournaments in the pipeline.
